Stock plug is leaking.

Buy a brass plug instead of the one provided. I also found rust in the tank and in the fuel line. indicates that it is an old inventory from a wet storage facility. Edelbrock please use a different pipe plug and dispose of the old stock! Works great after I got rid of the rust and bought a brass pipe plug to replace the chrome set screw.

  • Pretty package

Fuel plug leaks

I guess I'll have to buy a fuel pressure sensor because the plug that came with it is leaking. For the first installation I used gas pipe threads. Tried Loctite Blue on second try but no hope. Others have suggested using a pressure gauge so I can keep trying this. leaking enough to form a puddle on the intake manifold after just a few turns of the starter. When connecting to the carburetor body, there are no problems. I think I should have gone for a model with a filter.

Perfect fuel line solution for switching from 2bbl to 4bbl on a boat

This solved my fuel line connection problem for a repair I was doing on a boat I just bought. During a rebuild I converted a Mercruiser V6 from a 2bbl 175hp. 4 bbl 205hp and I had to find a new way to route the fuel line. This ideally routed the fuel line hidden just behind barrel 4 as shown in the picture. There were other changes that needed to be made, but this solved my last fuel delivery issue. BONUS. There's also a 1/4" plug that can be removed and a fuel gauge that can be screwed in, so…

Get this in place of the Edelbrock 8089 Banjo Fitting!

Wish I knew this existed as I had to relocate the fuel intake on my Edelbrock 1406 to make room for an air filter. I bought an Edelbrock 8089 banjo fitting which worked but not as well. The banjo fitting is VERY close to the carburetor body which means you cannot attach the fuel line and hose clamp to it once installed. I found that I first need to install the fuel line and clamp on the banjo fitting and then attach the banjo fitting to the carburetor. But not with this stone! This routes the…

Use care when installing the supplied plug and watch for leaks

I've been buying Edelbrock products for decades and this may be the only one I've had issues with. This fuel line comes with a small connector that some people may use for a fuel gauge or other purpose. I chose to use the connector they supplied and have previously used it with another fuel line I purchased from them with no problems. This time it wasn't poetry. No matter how hard I tried to tighten to the point where I was afraid of breaking, I stopped, went to a hardware store and bought a…
