The product arrived as stated. Apart from the markings, you can't tell them apart from the original. Perfect fit. Slight difference in suction, most likely due to heavy wear on the original. Cheaper than the Dyson price. I will buy it again if needed.

For many years I cleaned the filter in water by rinsing. But I read somewhere that they are still filled with mud. I've noticed that my Dyson's performance isn't as strong as it used to be. So I bought a new replacement and WOW. Doesn't matter! It now has the powerful suction that my Dyson had when I first bought it and picks up everything off the floor and carpet. Wonderful! I threw away the old filter and now I know how to get my performance back up when suction seems to be dropping. Just buy

After 15 years of use on my DC07, the OEM P/N 904979-02 pre-motor filter has deteriorated and has not returned to its original size and shape after washing. The yellow plastic case that contains the foam element also contains a laminated filter that needs to be washed at the same time. If the housing is exposed to strong backlight and the light does not penetrate the fine filter material after washing, the entire pre-filter must be discarded.
