Good for hanging a badge but nothing heavy.

Non-military quality. Don't use loop element wrapping for anything heavier than a badge. My Garmin Alpha 100 dog GPS ran for less than an hour before the rip cord broke and the Alpha fell to the ground. The company said they use a metal key ring to hold heavy objects, which is fine, but the key ring doesn't work with many items, such as cell phones and a portable GPS device.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Unreliable

Not Strong Paracord

Bought these lanyards for a holiday in Europe to hang my phone around my neck. Hacking and looting is one of the most common ways thieves steal valuables from tourists. When the straps arrived I saw straight away that this wasn't the paracord I use at home (the 550 advertised on the Revain website). So I grabbed what a typical European thief would use, a simple box opener (with a fairly dull blade) and cut the cord faster than a butter knife. Full of rubbish and lies from the seller.

What to do, what not to do.

Great idea, bad design. Paracord is a great idea. It's well packaged and doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart easily. The clasp holds well and is long enough. But there is an error. You still have the disadvantage of having a tiny string to scroll through. While you can use a metal key loop for most things, some things just won't work with it. For example a badge; Using a lanyard loop is the only really effective way to keep the badge flat on a regular basis. This can put a lot of tension

Great value for just one issue

Items arrived on time and were well packaged (better than I expected). The straps are a quality product and just what I expected. I'm giving 4 stars because the quick release plastic tab doesn't detach as quickly as I was hoping. Not sure if it's because I have big hands, but I have a hard time manipulating either side of the small tab to trigger a release. It's particularly difficult on one track. I fiddle with it for a few seconds each time, which doesn't really matter, it's just annoyingโ€ฆ

Not bad but has problems

I have a phone case with a strap that I attach the end to my belt. It has saved me from dropping my phone at least a dozen times this year. Unfortunately, the original strap broke at some point, so I needed a new one to attach it to the case. I decided to try this because it looked and is sturdy, but it has a few issues. First, the quick release is very awkward to use and you almost always need two hands. Even with two hands, it may take some time for him to let go. Second, although this strapโ€ฆ
