Replacement AC Adapter

I purchased this AC adapter to replace an AC adapter that was damaged due to a power outage at my home. The cables on this power supply are more than enough for almost any computer. The number and type of plugs pretty much covers everything plus extras. The fan noise level is EXTREMELY low! This is a great supply for the money and for general use on many different computers. VERY happy and the price was very reasonable. The device has a 3-year guarantee. Unheard of in this industry!

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • No Instructions

Good quality for computer components

. Bought to replace a broken power adapter on a brand new Acer desktop. Acer didn't want to help me so I did some research and settled on this one. It's been a week and so far so good. It fits snugly in the mini tower case with all the cables, but I managed to keep it pretty neat with zip ties. The only thing to note is that if you have something like a slim optical drive and it requires a "thin SATA connection," you'll need an adapter, which is easy to find for around $8…

Sometimes you have to take a risk

Despite the fairly high rating for this product, a look at the reviews tells a different story. People talk about how their device was DOA or their motherboard was fried and stuff like that. Everyone will doubt, right? On a budget, I didn't have many options, so I bit the bullet and decided to take a chance. About 2 months and I had no problems with it at all. No noticeable fan noise, my motherboard didn't explode, no bad smells. This is a great working power supply and despite the plethora of…

It's still early, but so far so good!

I've had this power supply for a few days now. I installed it as soon as I knew it was at my door, which is just after midnight. Thanks courier for not knocking - good thing I have honest neighbors. But I digress. The power supply was relatively easy to install on my Dell OptiPlex 7010 MT. The PCIe 6+2 connector was a bit fiddly to plug into my 8-pin connector on my MSI Radeon RX-480 GPU, but I ended up aligning and squeezing everything properly. Now I can happily use Oculus Link and SteamVR…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Expensive

Will not work with an uninterruptible power supply/battery backup.

We have an uninterpretable APC power supply that provides battery backup during power outages or brownouts. This evga power supply does not keep the motherboard powered during the 15ms UPS transfer to batteries. I've had no trouble using Corsair or any other power source to keep the computer on during the transition from wall power to battery. I even bought another UPS brand to see if the UPS was faulty. Still does not work. I plugged in another cheap generic PC PSU to test and when I unplugged

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • General Information

Pros: - Way more power than I need - Good modular connectors - Mounting screws included - Decent efficiency rating - ECO mode extends fan life - 5 year warranty - Looks good in almost any setup Cons: - Doesn't switch power one on the self-test connector that some higher-priced EVGA products ship with. - NOISE when reaching second RPM setting. Once everything has warmed up, it ramps up from the normal lower RPM setting and becomes audible. Overall Rating: I highly recommend this for a PC being…
