Not as strong as advertised and clogs easily

I bought this little pump to pump water through a short pipe to pour over the driftwood in my tank. It was advertised as being able to forcefully move water about 19 inches, but had trouble pushing it 7 inches through that tube and over the driftwood. I also have to take it out of the water every few days and clean the impellers of any brown residue. Fur!

A must for a beautiful terrarium

*Update* I have used many of these pumps in terrarium water features over the years. You have never let me down. Ideal for creating streams and waterfalls in a terrarium. Never had problems with clogging and enough power. Throwback to the first one I tried: My terrarium has been running with the waterfall and stream for months now with no problems. See my photo above. I would like it to be quieter, but there is nothing to complain about. It did a great job with the occasional mud in the water…

Works well in my outdoor bird bath

I have been using this pump in my outdoor bird bath for over 2 years 24 hours a day 7 days a week in the heat and ice. I think it's very good for the price. UPDATE: 3rd year and I dropped it. Cracked intake cover. But the pump is still running. Someone complained that it wasn't adjustable, but it is; However, to adjust, you must remove the cover from the intake manifold. This is not a powerful pump, but it will easily pump water into a medium sized birdbath. UPDATE 2: 4 years old and still…

Not as shown Best in water pumps

First of all the resulting device is completely different than the one shown here, it has no adjustable flow. It barely has enough buoyancy (head) to lift a foot at 1 cup per minute. I use this pump to pump some water into the gravity filter and it doesn't have enough power to do that. For a 1-3 gallon tank, a micro waterfall will do, while a 3 gallon tank will squeeze it. It also needs to be primed to start pumping. The air in the impeller area makes this useless. Run it and shake it to…
