Works with MinnKota Deckhand 40 windlass

Windlass Anchor shackle will not fit through anchor eyelet. The solution is to remove the shackle from the end of the chain, thread the chain through the anchor eyelet, then attach the anchor shackle to the chain and the end link of the chain, forming a chain loop that goes through the anchor eyelet. I hope the photo helps illustrate this.

Pros
  • Designed to use a combination of weight and stay legs
Cons
  • Don't remember

good anchor. Best Truck Body & Tailgate Accessory

Pulls like a champ with a 24" tee. Durable and works well. If you're using a marine swivel to attach to a chain or line, use a large one. I have a 3/8 inch swivel and it was tight; had to bend me a bit. I used the smaller one for the chain to tie but use 3/8 or more for the top of this swivel, it's big. too wide for a 5 gallon bucket so need a new idea for onion storage.

Pros
  • Works on hard ground, muddy or rocky ground and grass/weeds
Cons
  • Crumples

Nice truck anchor and tailgate accessories

Just bought an 18 lb model for use on the river we float on the pontoon. The bottom is very soft and muddy, you easily fall 10 inches while standing on it. I've only used it once but this anchor has a good grip and will last. It's a river, so there's always a current, and there was a decent wind, and we weren't drifting like we used to. (Note for reference - this is a 24" pontoon boat and I am using an 18lb anchor at the bow and stern). It had a few small dents when it arrived, but I don't…

Pros
  • UV resistant vinyl protects boat finish
Cons
  • New competitors appeared
