🔪 Enhance Knife Performance with Fallkniven DC3 Whetstone Diamond Ceramic Knife Sharpener Review

Works great, I was able to get a razor on my sea very quickly, this stone is having a break as it gets a little rougher than it should be after you run it and sanded a little, it is much more effective. Comes with a very nice leather pouch that can be used as a sling in a pinch. This stone doesn't actually have any flaws, just be aware that it's very small and depending on the blade, your fingers can be very close to the cutting edge, so a little care is needed to use it properly.

If you want to do heavy processing or something more intense, get the DC4. hours with DC3 I was glad that 95% of my chips failed. Needless to say, I almost ran through the diamond side. If used lightly and not regularly I would consider the DC4 or DC521 for a little more than normal field maintenance. Overall I regret not going with the DC4 but am glad to have such a solid product in my kit!

I have had many grinding tools over the years and DMT diamond cards were one of my favorites. This Fallkniven whetstone is a Guardian. It seems pretty good at first, at least for getting a razor blade, but the ceramic side flattens out quickly. What I like the most is the way they made the leather case. This little sharpener is great it has a diamond coated sharpening side and is more abrasive than the smooth ceramic side and this ceramic side polishes your blade to make it very sharp. It came in a nice little leather case and I had to cut some of the opening flaps off the leather case so I could close it when I put it in my wallet because the opening flaps got in the way when the wallet was folded. But after I cut off the valves it fits perfectly. I now have my Sog 2.0 Access Card on one side

I have had 2 Fallkniven DC4 sharpeners for a long time and finally decided to buy a DC3 to try. I have to say I like this stone as much as the DC4. Some people have complained that the DC3 is too small, but I think that's fine as long as you use proper grinding technique. By this I mean sharpening in a circular motion instead of the traditional single stroke method. I am very happy with the quality of the Fallkniven DC3 and DC4 bricks. Update: This is very delicate. At first I made a leather sheath with a case for this stone, but it turned out to be a waste of time. The first time it took a medium hit, the ceramic cracked, even with the skin acting as a cushion. A thicker and/or stronger ceramic would mitigate this problem, making it easier to hold and still wearable. I would happily pay a few euros more for this to be an option to buy. I didn't like this stone when I first received it. The ceramic side was too rough and the diamond side stopped working after a few uses; Have been sitting idle for a few years. But after a particularly hot hike, it became the best little pocket sharpener I've ever had! All I had to do was break it in half! About a year ago I dropped a diamond steel plate.
