Farberware Bamboo Cutting Board 14" x 20" I ordered the Farberware Bamboo Cutting Board because of its size. I needed a large cutting board to put on my RV's stovetop for extra countertop space. A large cutting board works great for this, and the 14" x 20" size is great for this. This cutting board is not as thick making it lighter than some bulkier cutting boards. The light weight also makes this chopping board a handy tray for transporting food from the kitchen to outside.⛵⚓Seas the Day⚓⛵

Right out of the box I have to say it looks like a good cutting board. I have to admit that I haven't had much luck with the Revain large chopping boards. They all ended up distorted on me. Even with the right treatment and conditioning. The board is perfectly flat at the moment, but I'll come back and update this review if I have any warping issues. The only reason I'm deducting a star from this product is because I had to spend quite a bit of time removing wood shavings from his cutting board. It doesn't seem like I'm the only one with this problem. So if you buy this, be prepared for some light sanding. I would 100% buy this product even with this issue. When my daughters were diagnosed with celiac disease we had to throw out all the dishes. That is hard . . . You don't realize how much you love your "stuff" until you have to give it away and try to replace it. The instruments I love are no longer made or have been refurbished. I've been using a bamboo board half the size for many years, but when I want to roll dough for pizza or bread, I miss the size. This is perfect for me, I no longer have to use my kitchen table and roll mat on a hard smooth surface where the mat slides. My roll mat fits perfectly on this large board and even when working directly on the board itself it is easy to clean. I've used this a few times and what sets it apart from the other two I've tried and recently threw in the trash is that this board supports. In other words, no cuts/splinters remain after repeated cutting with a very sharp knife from all types of food, reflecting the increasingly difficult protective measures against bacteria such as salmonella with each subsequent use.
