I wear them for running. I'm 5'11" and 215 pounds. So far I've used this at ranges from 5 to 20 km. No bouncing. I ran in the rain several times and my phone was dry to the bone afterwards.

I really liked this backpack, but it was thinner than I needed. I could put my phone in and that was it. So it would be perfect for jogging, yoga, the gym and the like, but not so much for the work I do. I needed it to hold my phone and other things like band-aids, my extra contacts and the like.

I bought these to replace an old belt when upgrading to a larger phone. It's perfect for a phone, but the wide, flat, oddly inflexible shell and wide elastic band make it look like a corset, fitting tight at the waist rather than the hips. If you are tall or have a slight difference in bust/waist/hip measurements this might work. But for the curvy and short-waisted, this is an uncomfortable addition to sportswear. Will return.

I am an avid hiker. I needed a light belt pouch for keys and a few other things. This bum bag works great for me. First, the strap is adjustable and will stretch. This allows me to tie the hip belt as tight as I want and it doesn't dangle like it did on my old fanny pack. You can also wear it freely if you need. It offers enough space for a large cell phone.
