Perfect replacement for my Faimm A-23 on my 2009 Monterey 214FS. Easy to connect and log in. Gave 4 stars because the grille discolored as if it had been previously installed. My 12 year old case was in great condition.

I installed this horn on my boat as part of a project. After installation, the horn stood for about 4 months. The boat just started last week and the 'new' horn (used 10 times) doesn't work. I am trying to find out if there is a guarantee on the product.

The kit should include screws and possibly a template so you can cut the hole. Had to make a trip to the hardware store to find stainless steel screws to install. I installed mine on a pontoon and chose not to install it on my logs where the factory is installed. I think this kit will work if you install it where the factory horn is and reuse the factory screws. I'm just sending my experience.

I replaced the horn on my boat yesterday and this model was found to be ideal. My inner anchor locker had a two horn mount. Uses a multi tool to cut the hole. I had to mark the hole a bit, it was 2 1/2 high and 3 1/2 wide. The old screw holes and grille were exactly the same. I moved the horn and grille outside and put some washers and locknuts on the back of the anchor box, attached the wires and I went ahead and replaced the connectors on the wires and now I have the horn.

This horn is loud enough for our needs, it gets attention and that's the idea behind the horn. We used it on our 16ft fishing boat as a necessary safety measure. .It was fairly easy for us to install, but we are mechanical and have a lot of tools. Using the included template was helpful for cutting and drilling the thick aluminum surface we mounted it to.
