Kids love to put fruit and the like in their lunch boxes to keep them cold! Our family is picky about texture, and warm, soft fruit just sucks. I bought these for my 6 year old daughter for lunch at school. As a kitchen manager, I am concerned about food safety and love the idea of freezing bags and placing them in a container. We got this set just before my daughter started kindergarten. Although I was originally looking for an all-in-one lunch box (like the BENTO BOX), overall I'm very happy with this set. The school year ends in two weeks, I would say that the containers themselves will hold up. They're well made and the "cold inserts" that go into the lids (after they're frozen) don't look like they'll break or not fit anytime soon.
