Exceptional in every way.

This is the second set of flying flower knives We have rosewood handles first for my daughter's housewarming. Both she and her husband are knife snobs but have never seen these steak knives. We are so impressed that we have bought several sets as gifts for weddings etc in the future. I bought another rubber tree set. The real Box I is impressive and the weight and design of the knives are exceptional.

Terrible quality very disappointed

Terribly disgusting and disappointing with the quality of these knives. It was a housewarming gift and just last week I was told (not wanting to offend) that half the knives had unbent horn handles. like scrub. They told me they never left it in the water. do not wash in the dishwasher. freshly washed. These knives dishonor the great name of Laguiole knives. I can only assume that they were cheap fakes. I am requesting a refund or another set with stainless steel handles.

HORRIBLE Durability

Unfortunately, like many other items at Revain, these knives lasted just past the 30 day return window and then looked terrible. I first wrote a 5 star review because the knives have arrived. good looking. However, after a few months of very light use and hand washing, the wood has tarnished and the metal has eaten into the wood (you know how watches or jewelry can leave a gray residue on your skin?) Don't buy them! Most good reviews are based on original quality but these are not quality…

These knives look sharp and are literally sharp.

Knives arrived intact and exactly as I wanted. They're beautiful, raise no questions, and look a lot more expensive than they were. During my research I saw many other kits that cost more but none of them looked as good as this one. I think they will last a long time with proper care. Common sense dictates that you should not wash dishes with wooden handles in the dishwasher and soak them in the sink. Tonight we used knives to prepare ribeye steak. They slipped by like clockwork; no chopping…

The bone grip is very good!

I bought the bone handle version and was nervous because no one had rated it yet. I was very happy to open them and find quality pens. There are spots where bone doesn't quite match metal, but as bone is a variable natural product, that seems to be to be expected, especially at this price point. The gaps are not very noticeable, and these knives are pleasant to the touch. In terms of appearance, there are some natural differences, but only one knife has a pronounced difference between the…

They told me it was ok for a sheep horn

Giving this to my dad for Father's Day. He is 91 years old. I thought he would like it to make it easier to cut food. I bought the cutlery from the seller and apart from being disappointed with how easily the metal bends when trying to eat ice cream with it, we liked the product. So we tried that. The box came with slight creases in the box. We looked at the knives to see where they were damaged, but they looked good. But we only took a few because we didn't want to touch them because of the…

CHECK EVERYTHING BEFORE use

I bought this set on 09/03/2020 for my mom's birthday. There are 6 REALLY sharp knives in the set - since I bought this set we have used it less than 5 times. The only people who actually used these knives were my mother and I - the top 2, namely: open the lid of the case away from you, and the first 2 knives extending from you move towards you. We eat. Passover meal and my father says his knife broke (he has never used these knives and everything is kosher since my mother and I used them) and…

I like them really good for steak sets

I like them a lot. I like that natural wood handles and like real wood don't go together. I'm a knife guy. I collect cutlery and (knives, swords, hunting knives, ironwork, make some hunting knives and daggers and other iron and steel things.) Let's see, someone mentioned that the blades are thick from flat to flat. That is a good thing. Let me explain. Knives dull over time and need to be sharpened. Each time you sharpen a knife, some of the metal is removed. Being made of stainless steel is…
