Description of Folding Benchmade Bugout Blue Knife

The Benchmade Bugout knife model has been the epitome of perfection in the field of EDC for many years. But it turns out that you can refresh the iconic model and make a number of innovations. First of all, the steel on the blade has changed - in this modification it is CPM-20CV. The material of the handle has also changed, instead of the polymer it is now G10, by the way with a different texture. As a final touch, the color of the peg has changed, in this version it has become bright and eye-catching. The blade of the Benchmade CU535-SS-20CV-G10 knife is made of CPM-20CV (aka Duratech CV20) - high-chromium, high-vanadium, corrosion-resistant powder steel produced by Crucible Industries (USA). Recently, the alloy (and analogues, for example M390) are gaining popularity on serial and author''s knives. And well deserved - this steel combines high cutting edge resistance with good corrosion resistance and decent mechanics. CPM20CV guarantees high impact strength and is able to withstand "heavy" work in extreme conditions. In the Benchmade CU535-SS-20CV-G10-BLU, the handle is made of G-10, a composite material based on fiberglass and epoxy resin. It is very durable, waterproof and impact resistant. Overall length: 190 mm Blade length: 82 mm Blade thickness: 2.3 mm Steel grade: CPM-20CV Handle length: 107 mm Handle material: G-10 Blade finishing: stonewash Cutting edge: straight (plain) Lock type: Axis-Lock Weight: 60 gr Clip material: Steel Company manufacturer: Benchmade Knife Company (USA) Country of manufacture: USA

I can't say that I was completely satisfied with the product.

There are no complaints about the knife itself, everything is fine: the materials are of high quality, it is assembled cool, the wedge is in the center. Unless the carts are a little crooked and the sharpening is imperfect, but these are trifles. But there are questions to the GearPro store as a seller. The box has been opened, the factory sticker has been cut. This is not critical, we can assume that they opened it to check for marriage. But the fact that the box is all kind of shabby, as if…

Pros
  • Nice knife, good quality
Cons
  • The box is peeled

Beyond praise! The product definitely deserves your attention.

The size at first seems unusual, but then you understand all the charms and rejoice in it, like an awesome little thing in childhood) I keep hoping that I lose it so that I can finally put another knife in my pocket xDDD

Pros
  • It's insanely lightweight. Axial works incredibly well. The dies are of a pleasant blue color, the pattern is comfortable for the hand. It is pleasant for the eye to consider the details of the design of the knife, the blade in particular. Steel is traditionally successful from benches (google the skimen ruslan review, where he planes the Soviet nail of this s30v). All this led to the fact that the knife settled in the pocket for a long time, it's just a city edc top, of course.
Cons
  • Well, if you straighten up and find fault with it, you can get to the bottom of the traditional axis-lock minus - an open structure that collects dust. I don’t get to the bottom of the price, because with adequate leadership in this country, the dollar exchange rate would be more pleasant and the $140 that benches ask for a knife would be more affordable. But our people are used to scolding the Americans, who, like, raised the price. But it is traditional for the population of the country not to notice fat elephants on their noses.

Best thing for the money, glad I did it.

You forget that you carry this knife in your pocket. One of the best everyday pocket knives in my opinion. Unless, of course, you are a "survivor" and you do not have the task of performing daily tactical tasks, although this knife is capable of this. I have owned this knife for less than a month, so far I can’t say anything about the axial screw and axis lock. I'll ate my review in a year.

Pros
  • Compact, excellent materials, coolly assembled, steel 30, looks 5+ in black. Very deep landing. Don't buy Chinese knockoffs!
Cons
  • Not

I definitely recommend buying, I didnt notice any disadvantages.

All folding knives went for gifts, and I replaced all folding knives in the container, super. I didn’t buy it here, the box was sealed on the off. I can’t compare with China, because there has always been an original.

Pros
  • Light, sharp, strong, beautiful) The workmanship is top notch, but Bench knows a lot about knives.
Cons
  • No , current if price. But damn I didn't regret it

The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

Probably one of the best folding knives available today, given the quality of the steel and the ease of carrying - small size and weight. It cuts out of the box, although, of course, the factory sharpening is far from ideal. Well, the bonus was a promotional code for a 10% discount from and a cashback from it. Unless the delivery is long, more than a week, but it was worth it.

Pros
  • Good steel S30V, compact and incredibly light.
Cons
  • Not found

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

great option for EDC. The carbon option is good for office trousers. Steel is better to take better in the version with handle made of G10.

Pros
  • compact weightless with a large blade
Cons
  • there is no such. Dust gets in, but this is inevitable for any knife if you carry it in your pocket.

I am amazed at how well made the product is, just magical!

The knife is excellent, high-quality sharpening, cuts everything you want to cut (and what you don’t want to cut if your hands are crooked), unlike Chinese copies, with a strong point compression of the middle of the handle, the plastic does not walk, the blade centering is good, there is no backlash. It unfolds well, not tight, but not with a whistle. It lies comfortably in the hand, the plastic does not slip even in sweaty palms. Quite light, after the ZT 0808 it seems somewhat toy. Quality…

Pros
  • A good knife, of high quality - well, this is d Benchmade, it's not surprising
Cons
  • The clip seemed short and flimsy, bought another titanium one. When reinstalling the clip, the thread fell out into the space between the overlays, the figs were dug out, it’s somehow surprising that a good manufacturer’s threaded tab rests on snot and parole.
