The adapter will NOT fit

The pump works well and is fairly quiet. It comes with an adapter which should allow it to fit standard well pipe sizes, but it's so poorly designed and/or manufactured that it won't fit the pump! He is so free that he falls without touching it. Add water pressure and it's utterly useless. I bought these to replace a small fountain pump that failed after a few years of use. I didn't want to go to numerous garden centers looking for the right size, disassemble the pump to remove the hose to…

Very quiet! Best in Aquarium Pumps and Filters

My fountain pump broke down a few years ago. It was twice the size of this one but probably the same in terms of power and water performance. With a little effort I was able to install a much smaller one but still submerge it in water and the results were great. You can't hear the pump at all, just a splash of water in the well. It's a low whisper. Can't comment on durability, but if it fails early I'll update my review. So far I'm happy with my purchase. Note: At first I thought there was only

Careful adjustment is required to obtain the desired flow rate.

I bought this to replace an existing pump in a small fountain. The original pump was a bit smaller and not adjustable so I had to move the hose and adjust the lever on the side to get the same effect. Once this is done it works fine. As for the three-pin plug with no ground wire, the body of this pump is made entirely of plastic, which means the ground wire has nothing to do with earth. And ground wire or not, in anything water related, GFCI is essential and GFCI does not depend on the ground…

Great until it's gone

It's been 13.5 months. We used it in a small tabletop fountain that sits on our patio. Died last week. The photo in the product information is deceptive - it doesn't come apart as easily as it looks in the photo. In particular, the impeller attached directly to the rotor does not slide out easily as shown in the figure. In fact, it was damn hard to remove. I wanted to see what exactly went wrong (probably because the impeller wasn't spinning well, but I wanted to know why it was spinning hard)…
