I am very happy with the result of my hair. I mixed the product in a plastic container the night before. I cover the jar with a lid and put it in the fridge. The next day I added some lemon juice. to the mixture and some ginger (for the smell). A friend who is a professional stylist put henna on my hair the way you highlight it with foil. I left it on for 2 hours, then washed it off and applied conditioner.

I ordered it for my wife. We've tried several brands of henna and have had bland results at best. I ordered 2 boxes for my wife because she has a lot of hair but it turned out to be too much. It adhered very well to her hair, leaving no mystery stains around the house until it set. After seeing how well it worked, we won't be going to the corner makeup store to buy all those expensive chemicals that were a nuisance.

I've used red henna in the past and it doesn't usually show up on dark brown hair unless you're in the sun or your hair color is very light. But this henna only has staining my skin and towels and leaving no color on my hair (also I don't have any hair color on my hair so henna should work fine on virgin hair). I've tried looking at my hair when I'm outside or in very bright light and haven't seen the color. So, that didn't work for me. I will not buy this brand again.
