FROGG TOGGS Men's Lightweight Waterproof Rain Pant - Java Toadz 2.5 Edition Review

These pants are not true to size. Even the little one is too big for me. I usually take the middle one. I just missed the returns window and Revain won't let me exchange or get credit. 😕

Traveled to Carolina the week of July 4th and got caught in a few storms along the way. These things held up in the rain and kept me dry without getting wet to the bone. The only downside is that the zippers are not waterproof.

I like the color and the cut but I think regular frogs are much more durable, whatever the material it feels very fragile and cheap. I'm still not even sure if these were really frog toys and not smuggled stuff from clone copies. The pocket access zipper messed up and became unusable after wearing it twice. I will buy something else. I still have them, they breathe well and wick water pretty well as I've worn them 5 times already.

As a longtime rider who commutes daily and travels long distances, I've found that I really like a truly waterproof outfit. For the money, they're hard to beat. They're totally waterproof for hours of use (something Gortex fights against), and are perfect for camping or days in the rain. A bit baggy for bike use but I didn't buy them for that, although I would have no hesitation in using them under my protective gear in a toad strangler.
