Excellent entry-level DAC and amplifier

I would like to start this review by saying that I am by no means an audiophile. I like listening to music while I work. I also have tinnitus, which is why my "sound quality" judgment goes that far. That being said, there are a few things related to usability that brought this down to 3 stars because it's so annoying. As I need to check both the DAC and the amp, I would like to mention that until last night I had a power outage and the amp was on, I had _no_ complaints about the amp. The rest…

Disappointing

I have owned and used the FX Audio DAC X-6 every day for years with no problems and love it to death. So when I needed a DAC for another room, ideally with Bluetooth, it was a natural buy. Unfortunately it was returned the same day it arrived because it was horribly constructed and made a horrible hiss every time it was turned on, no matter what input, what volume (including mute) and whatever . what combination of source and headphones was used. Universal inputs, reasonable sound quality, cheap price

**SECOND UPDATE**September 2020 I finally got a chance to test this updated version of the DAC X6 MKII. I tested the Bluetooth inputs, optical and USB, with a home theater system and ATH-M50 headphones as outputs. ***Using Headphones*** First Impression: Severe hum/hum fixed with new capacitors.
