Excellent Battery Life

Battery life is OUTSTANDING! Great screen with useful statistics. I love the ability to customize workouts for road or mountain bike specifics. Highly recommended.

Lots of great GPS

I like it for the money. This is the first bike GPS I have ever owned. But for this money it is convenient to use. Great battery life. And on several trails I've been on, it's brought me home. What else do you need.

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Minor issues

Excellent navigation system MTB

Wow this thing is amazing. Just go to the path and turn it on. The screen is easy to read in daylight, shows multiple driving dynamics, and maps are accurate and accurate. Easy transfer to my PC where I can view all dynamics and save rides.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Good product; bad reliability.

This was the first cycle computer I bought. I mainly ride mountain bikes and did some research before deciding on this kit. Installation was easy. That's how it was with the installation. The first ride was great too. However, already during the second ride the screen started to turn off. I thought the battery was dead but it kept beeping. After that the screen wouldn't turn on anymore. Luckily, Revain allowed me to return it for a full refund. I was going to buy another one but the 530 is…

Do not buy this item from this seller

I have no problems with the bike computer but a silicone case should come with the mountain bike. It is listed on the packaging. However, this set did not come with a case and when I contacted the seller (it took me 2 days to reply) they said they did not have a case. This is complete nonsense because the Garmin box says it comes with a case. I can only assume that this seller received the kit from Garmin, opened the box and removed the case which may be sold separately. The price is the same…

Pros
  • There is something inside
Cons
  • Might damage it

Unreliable on sports and handheld GPS

Might be a bad machine but my 530 has 3 annoying problems 1. While driving the entire unit shuts down and restarts. No data is lost, but that means I have to stop riding, wait for a reset, and then start a new ride with the 530. 2. Sometimes the device doesn't reset but only captures part of my ride. 3. I've had several trips where a data file got corrupted and I had to manually repair the file on my computer. Please note that I have an MTB kit and have only used it on trails. I now have Strava

Pros
  • Good for many
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Great tool but not always accurate navigation

If you want this app to track your speed and distance or help you explore new routes, this is a winner. Easy to use, great battery life and a good screen. I bought it because I wanted to test out the new trail systems and ride loops without getting lost or reaching for my phone. Sometimes I have to pay more attention to the map than the turn-by-turn navigation. I really hope they update this, but it's not always accurate or obvious where to turn. I often ignore turn after turn because the map's
