EYES HERE - You MUST apply thermal paste immediately after applying a small pea sized amount to the center of the IHS. The paste will air dry easily. I couldn't time it, but the insertion time is maybe more than 15 seconds. In addition, when applied, the paste begins to crumble and simply peels off the IHS. This thermal paste is very viscous. I put it in a plastic bag and a bowl of hot water for easier and more even application. I used it on an i5-3570k where Ivybridge gets very hot when overclocked. I ran temps at 82-86c at 4.5GHz which I think is too high and I used Mx-4. Don't get me wrong, this is a great thermal paste, but not great for overclocking a CPU. If you only knew MX-4, Cryocrap and Nourtopid NT-H1. Worry only about the best thermals for a year or less. I'm sorry you don't know how to run thermal paste "stable". If you don't know what I'm talking about. Please study "pump-out". This paste (GC Extreme), Hydronaut, TF8/TFX and IC Diamond should be the only paste that can be used for long term and stable performance.
