Gibraltar SC SH Nylon Stick Holder Review

I always had trouble with drumsticks slipping out of my hand while playing, to the point where it was a source of humor for our band during rehearsals. It easily attaches to any stand so there's no problem whether you're right- or left-handed and will hold many of the tools you need, whether that's brushes, extra sticks, hammers or whatever. It's not heavy, so carrying your gear up and down the club's rickety stairs doesn't add weight or size.

This is a great accessory for any drum set. However, it is not like the picture. It doesn't have a big white Gibraltar name on it. Instead, it has the red "G" logo that Gibraltar began using. I also bought a Gibraltar bass drum pedal and it has the same "G" logo as the stick holder. It actually looks classier and cooler than the old Gibraltar logo, so the fake image doesn't bother me at all.

Like the other reviewer, mine came in black. It's okay, but I think red is cooler, so I was hoping for that. The bag is functional and durable, although I wish you could flip it. The sticks are a bit difficult to pull out in a hurry as you have to pull more or less straight up. I suggest you set it very low on the hi-hat to have some wiggle room when it comes out. I bought one of these (red) about 10 or 12 years ago. It was widely used, including several sticks thrown at it simultaneously from above, which inevitably stressed the seams underneath - and it happened; Recently a few holes formed in the holder along the seam and the sticks started to leak.
