Terrible ! for accessories and parts

This socket broke on first use. I removed the eyebolts on my wife's Mercedes and the socket split on one side. The product looked good but didn't work at all. Do not buy.

DO NOT BUY - broke on first use!

This is the worst purchase I have ever made from Revain! I can't believe I didn't read the reviews before purchasing. That's usually the first thing I do. Be careful. Terrible product.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Almost never

Broke on first use!

Should have read the reviews before buying. It broke on first use! I was trying to swap my snow tires on my BMW and couldn't even get a lug on it before it broke right down the middle. Very disappointed.

  • Top
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Broke on first use: Accessories and parts

Bushing was not strong enough to remove and split over tightened nut. It's fine up to 85 ft-lbs, but if someone over-tightens at the tire shop, this socket may not hold up to repair the damage. Otherwise nice.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not sure

Use 1 time. Broken.

I needed a new socket for my BMW to protect my rims and I picked up this piece of junk. The first wheel bolt I tried to pry out broke off. The wheels were torqued to factory torque specs, so I didn't ask them to do anything complicated. Not even strong enough for a wheel bolt. Save your money!

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some cons

Very Impressed - Nuts and Accessories

This socket is a great solution for me, my wheels have very small nut holes. These are the only 17mm that will fit so I don't have to use slotted nuts. I've been using mine for over a year and have changed wheels over 100 times. My car is designed for drifting on the track, so the wheels are constantly changing.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Repair

looks good but broke on first use

The socket comes in a nice protective cover and looks good. However, it broke on the first attempt to use it. I was trying to loosen an eyebolt on a BMW wheel. Factory specs are around 89 pounds per foot. I can't say for sure, but I doubt the screw was over tightened. The car was only serviced by a BMW dealer and they had to get it right. After breaking that thin-walled head, I had no problem loosening the eyebolt instead of the stock 17mm head.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
