best results with drill

Requires a lot of air. I'm a wood turner and was hoping to use this as a finish sander. As others have written I didn't expect to need a lot of stuff and limited it to 220g and up. But I've found that my drill bit works better with a 2" backing pad. I have a 25 gallon 6 hp/110 psi supercharger. but it was ineffective compared to my drill, i returned it.

Pros
  • Uses your choice of commercial Velcro sandpaper
Cons
  • Very expensive

Great grinder when used as intended

A great little grinder for fine work for its purpose. I have one with a 3" head and got tired of changing pads so just bought another one. Duration of use requires a fairly large volume of air, says Reis…

Pros
  • Ergonomically insulated housing for continuous use
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Yes, it's worth it

maybe I have a bad one but this block will stop at the slightest bump. I can stop him with my fingertip! Not at all what I expected as I have a supercharger that runs 5.9cfm at 90psi. I try to use it with 220 grit and above as a finish sander. My other air grinders work way better than this one and it's definitely a bummer! Contacted Manu, will update after working with Grex. EDIT: The original title was "really like it", with 3 stars. The central drive shaft (which spins above the pad when…

Pros
  • Santoprene Grip for more comfort in different applications
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model
