Good pads, long life, feel good

Performance is good, needs lapping. Application: 2008 GMC with 14,000 and 10,000 lb trailers. Factory pads worn over 25,000 miles.

Pros
  • Excellent pad and rotor life
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Excellent braking after warming up.

If these pads didn't need warming up I would give them 5 stars. Braking after warming up is a noticeable difference from my 2010 Escalade. When braking for the first time that day, it was noticeable that he wasn't slowing down either. But after leaving my territory (2 "Stop" signs) I notice that he has more bite.

Pros
  • LTS - Light Truck & SUV Brake Compound
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Because of the much better reviews I was thinking of switching to a Hawk through EBC. What a waste of time. I installed the brakes and they worked great. Much better stopping power than the EBC brakes I've had. However, after 2500 km they began to squeak. This is more than the usual squeak you can get from some pads. It was so bad that the woman demanded that they be removed. She was spotted entering the line for dropping off and dropping off school children. So they went out. Came to find out…

Pros
  • Brakes better than OE
Cons
  • So far so good
