You'll realize how important this mat is when you step off it onto a hard floor. I live in an apartment and although the floor looks like wood it is actually just tile on concrete and very hard. A rug makes work in the kitchen much easier. My carpet in front of the sink. I am happy with the length of the rug.

I have no pain so I can talk about pain relieving properties. I use this in a caravan mainly because they can be swept rather than vacuumed and wiped down with a damp sponge. I received this floor mat today and it is not as brown as the description says. The photo shows that it is a light brown color with mixed tones. I have a very dark brown mat. Looked terrible in my kitchen. Looked like a big brown spot on the floor. I sent it back and ordered a gray one so I hope it matches the description. If not I will return it and look for the rug elsewhere.
