These slotted screws from Hillman Group are a must-have for any industrial and scientific project. Their durable build quality ensures that they won't break or strip easily, making them ideal for tough jobs. Through trial and error, I found that they offer a tight fit and secure hold that other screws just can't match. While they may be a bit more expensive than some other options, their reliability makes them well worth the extra cost.

They are well made. They are uniform and of good quality. With a pilot hole and a dab of wax paste, none of them broke upon installation.

I drilled regular sized pilot holes for softwood and broke two of them while screwing them into old pine. I enlarged the pilot hole one size and had no more problems. They look well installed and hold a flathead screwdriver well, they break easily so drill pilot holes larger than usual. Maybe for real woodworkers, you may already know this but I learned it the hard way :)
