Looks like steel

What can I say? It is .024 inch in diameter, weighs 2 pounds and is made of steel. It works in my Miller 211 after changing the tips. The feed roller is rated at 0.024. This makes welding a 22-24 a bit easier with fewer holes. That's exactly what I expected. I would recommend it to a friend who works with thinner steel.

Another broken spool

Great price but the spool was broken so unusable. I tried installing it on my welding machine but it wouldn't hold tension, twist, or come loose at all. According to other reviews, this is a common problem. Hobart makes excellent wire but the supplier needs to ensure goods are not damaged prior to shipment and/or package them better to avoid damage.

  • Welding wire

Love this welding wire

What could be better than a spool of Hobart wire on a Hobart Handler 187? Maybe a cold beer on a hot Sunday afternoon. I'm writing a wiretapping report right now, so let me get on with it. I ran half a dozen (at least) 2lb spools of this Hobart solid wire through my Hobart Handler 187. I don't like buying larger coils because I don't want the wire to corrode/rust while it's in. is in my closed garage. Once the wire starts to corrode/rust you should throw the whole spool in the trash! This is…
