Stat is inaccurate in heating, cooling and air quality

HumidiStat is inaccurate by approx. 25 degrees, ie: set to 20 and my sensor above shows 45-/+5 degrees. Easy installation, just need to get used to the differential. More hassle with returns than just use.

Pros
  • As everything before
Cons
  • Functionality

Maintains proper humidity level in home Level

Installation was simple enough by replacing the faulty unit. It was a little big so a little modification was needed. It worked well during the heating season and maintained a fairly constant humidity level in our home.

Direct replacement part

Parent's humidifier stopped working. no idea when. While troubleshooting I found that the humidistat was very dirty and was preventing the solenoid from opening. I replaced it with this new one and the water started flowing as soon as the heater was turned on. Very happy with the results and hopefully my parents will feel the difference in their home.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Without machine

Works flawlessly. for heating, cooling and air quality

We have heat pumps and live in Central Oregon (High Desert) where humidity is always very low. Indoor humidity rarely rises above 30% without the help of humidification. We installed a humidifier on the air motor and this Honeywell humidistat on the AC return. As a result, the humidity in our room is around 40%, which is much more pleasant.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Weaknesses

Works great.

Used to replace an existing defective humidistat. According to the manufacturer it replaces some Honeywell models and is designed for use with specific Honeywell humidifiers, but rest assured that it will work with most 24V humidifier solenoids. As long as your 24V supply is either switched by the control board itself, or interrupted by a paddle switch or similar (to prevent the humidifier from running 24/7), it's simply balanced with the positive (+) wire. your solenoid. Works as intended…

Seems to work, hard to read

I'm using 4 of these in a Lutron control system to run a roof fan that draws from 4 bathrooms. My electrician had some trouble installing it, but that consisted of getting him to work with the Lutron system to not only start the fan, but also open the hatch underneath. They can be much easier to install in a more conventional application. They are very easy to use. To adjust, simply turn the dial. However, the small screen does not glow and has a very low contrast ratio. Because we installed…

Good movement with poor calibration, but it can be fixed.

A good product so far but the calibration is ridiculously poor. Most likely 20-25%. Fortunately, this is fixable. There is a tiny white plastic bolt on the side of the movement that can be used to calibrate it (in the middle of the photo). You have to remove the handle and unscrew the mechanism from the body to get there. Using a jeweler's screwdriver I scraped off the red goo holding it in place and then used a pair of small pliers to twist the head of the screw. You don't have to turn it much

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Repair

Not ideal for remote mounting

I may have tunnel vision but the mount on this unit only seems to be suitable for duct mounting. A half-inch flange runs behind the unit as a unit with a mounting plate that slides into the duct. You can wall mount it, but the unit doesn't flush mount as expected and doesn't have access to room air. A side shot wouldn't hurt. I replaced the surface mount remote by making a mounting block out of a piece of hard white Azek (a product that replaces plastic wood). I didn't want to make a hole in…
