I have an old Hoover Rewind vacuum cleaner (model UH70820) whose brush stopped rolling even on a bare floor. The old belt stretched and stopped moving. I replaced it with this new belt. At first I thought the new one wouldn't fit because it's a lot smaller than the old one. I compared the numbers stamped on the new and old belts and they matched. Be sure to clean the motor shaft BEFORE adding the belt. The last strap broke almost immediately after dad replaced it. I was afraid the same would happen to this belt, but when I went to install it I noticed that the motor shaft was rusted. I assume the last belt snapped as the coarse, powdery rust caused it to slip and then acted like sandpaper cutting through the belt. .
