These cables gave me exactly what I needed to connect my old Pioneer PL-71 to a modern receiver. Although I had plenty of RCA cords at home, finding a ground wire proved more difficult. I used this cable to replace a defective OEM cable on a Pioneer PL-112D turntable. While this isn't an expensive, high-end cable, the cable and connectors are very good at this price point. I had to cut the leads at right angles so I could hardwire the cable into the internal solder terminal block. The central wire is made of soft, flexible stranded copper.
