🐠 hygger Aquarium Single Sponge Filter: Optimal Filtration Solution for Small Fish Tank - 5-15 Gallon Review

This filter elbow with a sponge is compatible with the dual medium moisture filter with optional biological tank. I bought this filter hoping since Hygger doesn't make foam filters with a biological media option. I can now use a Biohome gravel sponge filter in my smaller brood tank. Higger, do you see that? Make a single sponge filter with the biomaterial option!

First of all I'm giving 4 stars because it looks good. I won't give less but I don't think it will work for me, I will share my tank so you don't buy if you have the same as mine. I have an aquarium with imaguitarium (6 gallons) that already has a filtration system, I wanted to install it for extra filtration with a very small pump, too much power, my betta was submerged in the system. I think at least for a 20 gallon tank, not a 5.

I had really high hopes but that's what I get for the price. To be honest, this filter has almost no suction power, I think it cleans something, I just can't judge. I have marimo balls and fibers keep floating in water. not included in the filter. As I don't have any fish at the moment I left the tank to filter and maintain the right temperature in preparation for the fish and a film appears on my heater and things are starting to stick to the glass. Great little foam filter. I would say that's 5-15 gallons, thanks. Looking through these reviews, it seems that many of the negative points stem from either the type of air pump or the lack of an airflow control valve. I've had these filters for a year now. I've seen food stick to them, put them in old fish water to see what they've caught in the sponge, and even hidden mine behind plants. I really like how it's regulated. This is a good buy. I haven't had any problems or complaints about them.
