Helps make showers less slippery

I can't shower without them. I don't even feel safe in slightly rough shower floors/bathtubs. I'm older and don't want to slip/fall while swimming. I feel safe with them. The suction cups on the bottom don't really stick to my shower floor or bathroom floor, but unless you're intentionally trying to slide on them (which takes a bit of effort) I've found that's not a problem. I also bought a size smaller. I take it with me when I travel. The only thing I would have liked differently is that they

Expensive for a bath mat that still gets moldy.

Although it adheres well to the bathtub floor and feels good, it will mold over time like any other bath mat. I first bought it at the laundry to be cleaned. I've put it in the wash with detergent and even bleach. There was less mold at the end of the cycle, but it was still there. Mold gets trapped between the plastic fibers and simply cannot be removed. Since I have a child who loves to sit in the tub, I can't let them sit on a moldy carpet. So it went in the trash. Good idea. Too bad there…

  • easy installation
Cons
  • sad packaging

This is my second one. The first is in my master bathroom and I love it so much I bought one for the guest bathroom. I absolutely LOVE this product. This makes us feel more stable on slippery shower floors. PLUS, it actually helps clean the bottoms of your legs, which is a great feature for seniors who have a hard time bending over. I read a negative review about it from someone who said they wouldn't recommend it because it got mold on it. Well DUH! Anything that is in a damp place will sooner

Works well but disrupts the quick drain

The hydromat is fine I say this because it doesn't stick to the shower floor. I used small 2x2 tiles to keep the suction cups from sticking due to the spacing between the grout lines. Others have mentioned the carpet slipping which surprised me because I can honestly say I haven't had this problem and I know for a fact that the suction cups aren't sticking to my shower floor. Maybe they have a smooth bath/shower surface. I've noticed that this slightly reduces the flow of water into the sewers.

  • This is amazing

I only found one rug that didn't slide in our bathtub

I had a problem with shower mats sliding in our bathtub. I've tried 3 or 4 different, more expensive ones that shouldn't guarantee slippage, but nothing stayed in place. I have a spinal injury, so every movement causes me pain. If it slips even a little, you'll have to strain to catch yourself, causing a lot of pain. I tried it reluctantly and couldn't be happier. It's the only thing that keeps me from moving around in our bathroom and I loved it so much I bought a second one to take with me…

OK, not ideal for home decor

We recently installed a fiberglass shower for my sister who has arthritis. The device is a little slippery so I went in search of a non-slip mat. After reading both positive and negative reviews I bought the rug. It comes rolled up in a box, so take it out and flatten it out a few hours (preferably a few days) before use. Make sure the shower floor is slightly damp before installation. Position and ensure all suction cups are down. My sister used the rug first and had no problem with it…
