Fits both! The fabric is wonderful and washes and dries on a low and not a single wrinkle! It was actually for the grandmother and granddaughter. Size 5 fits her perfectly. She is 43 pounds and 40 inches tall. I ordered a small size for myself because the comments said it was large. I'm 5'7" and 143 lbs. the little one was perfect.

I ordered knee length burgundy dresses for my mum and me. First of all these are long maxi dresses, as the title suggests, I didn't realize when I expected the dress in the photos. In addition, the top of the dress is bright red, the bottom is bordeaux. The colors don't match. I will return the dress to both my mother and myself because I would never buy what I received.
