The water shield has given me a lot of protection over the last 3 months as I've been driving through some very rainy areas in South Texas. It also keeps my cone filter clean during normal driving but should be bought for its hydrophobic protection. Installation was easy and I will check every few months. Got this for my Injen cold air intake. Within a month I decided to replace my car's headlights. Since I remove the bumper, I immediately checked the water protection. Out of curiosity, I decided to test the water. I sprayed it with a spray, not wet but squeezed with water a couple of times. fog only. The water flowed as if there were no barrier.
