I actually bought this to replace my previous holder because it had a small lip on the bottom to prevent the brushes from slipping out of the holder. Not only do I use it for toothbrushes, I also throw in some toothpicks and a small pair of scissors as I always need to grab and use those things quickly!

Used 3 times. I was about to send it back but my husband was able to screw it on but after 3 uses it broke completely (too late to send back). The plunger is attached to a plastic insert. The plastic insert rotates when trying to screw in the plunger, making it impossible to hold on. The dispenser tube attached to the plunger has completely come loose. SEE PHOTO

In general, these dispensers are unstable and of poor quality. Through the returns and exchanges process, I ended up with 11 soap dispensers instead of the 5 I originally ordered. The 6 returned were examples of ALL the issues mentioned in other negative reviews. In this case it might be more convenient to go to your local large bed and bath box and select, mix and match parts etc to make that purchase.

This is a very basic toothbrush holder but I think it's perfect. It's small enough to save space on your vanity, has a solid base to catch any water/toothpaste that might drip and is super easy to clean. Not only is it all open and easy to wipe clean, the stem unscrews and the top part separates from the bottom. After tedious cleaning of the toothbrush holder, which was completely closed, that was very nice.

Bought some time ago (and previously modified) and since then the replacement has completely rusted at the base. There is a gasket on the bottom of the dispenser and it has become a mold (and fungus?) factory. The rusty base oozes onto a green-black goo that smells awful. Almost impossible to clean. Bought a soap dispenser and toothbrush holder. In just 3 months they both rusted like you won't believe. Every day rusty water runs out of the soap dispenser and leaves a yellow stain on the countertop. I tried not to glue the bottom to get a few more weeks of use, but he finds a way out.
