It was easy to put together and I liked that it was modular. I bought it to put in a closet and 1/2 is perfect for 1 shelf and the other half is perfect for the other shelf. Very happy with the quality.

For those having trouble setting the dowels, I wonder if they don't fully shrink? I assembled it by hand, with no tools - just the weight of the body on the carpet. The stand looks absolutely straight and is very stable. I love that it's modular and comes with extra dowels. As my wine collection grows, I happily buy more to increase my shelf capacity!

Some pens are easier to install than others, but overall they're strong enough to get the job done. I was just disappointed to see the lightness of the wood compared to the photos on Revain.

I bought two of these sets to combine into a larger set. They are easy to assemble and come with a few extra pins. I then sanded and stained the "blocks" to darken their color and contrast with the grains. I then painted the pins with white silk gloss paint before assembly. The pins were a bit difficult to install after painting, but I drilled holes in the blocks a hair's breadth and they snapped into place. Fits very well with my configuration fits 20 bottles 4 wide x 5 high.
