Disappointing Bubble Column for Aquariums

This product did not meet my expectations. Although the bubble column looks nice when it works, it constantly stops producing bubbles, leaving my aquarium looking dull. It was also difficult to install and required additional equipment not included. Pet Supplies should offer better options for aquarium pumps and filters.

Pros
  • Nice look when working
Cons
  • Constantly stops producing bubbles, difficult to install.

Has Good Bubbles: Air Pump Accessory

This air stone produces good, stable bubbles and has enough weight to stay on the gravel at the bottom of the aquarium. Can't comment on longevity as it's only been in my tank for a few weeks. Most air stones I've bought this way have typically lasted 4 to 5 months. These Air Stones are available from Pets Mart and are not that expensive.

Pros
  • Package Contents: 1 x Aquarium Air Stone
Cons
  • Functionality

Adds noise that can be annoying

This bubble column creates a lot of bubbles. When I first added it to my tank the noise was too annoying. I've used other bubblers and I can see they all add an uneven loud noise that vibrates around the area. Soaking them in water for a week will reduce that noise. They have to be rolled. You'll calm down in a week or two. So if you find them too loud at first, wait and soak them. Air pumps can also be very noisy and I've tried several. The cheapest and smallest air pump is the Sonic Model…
