we have dark grey. In one light it appears lavender, in another it appears mauve. Luckily he's the right color for the room he's in. it's very pretty, but we don't use it as a rug, it's thrown over the back of the rocking chair in the girls room.

This is a beautiful rug. Unless you want something that looks like fur. In fact, it is a fluffy rug carved in the shape of a skin. That's a good rug. Not faux fur. More like someone who has skinned a stuffed animal or doll. You can probably find faux fur that looks and feels like real fur.

Bought a mat for my dog. She loves it. Excellent quality and price. It doesn't pill at all and is very soft. RENEW After washing according to label directions and hanging to dry, the texture of the rug has completely changed. Now it's rough instead of soft, so I had to deduct a few stars.

What did I buy? It's soft but oddly shaped and very expensive. To make matters worse, it literally looks like someone skinned the Cookie Monster, and it's not even the color I asked for. I bought turquoise, not royal blue. It's too much trouble to return now, so I'm stuck with an odd-shaped Cookie Monster bearskin rug. Buyer warning!
