💦 Jebao DCP Sine Wave Water Return Pump (DCP-2500): Enhanced Performance in Sleek Black Design Review

I use this pump to provide flow to my Pentair UV Sterilizer so it is not the main pump for my reef tank although the return is in the show tank. The pump is very quiet, I haven't had any performance issues since I bought it. The speed selection works well, but the flow range isn't what I was hoping for. That said, I couldn't slow down the flow enough just using the controller settings. A ball valve had to be added to further reduce the flow to about 150 gallons per hour.

Well, I tested three of these pumps before realizing that Jebao's factory implementation doesn't work as an external pump... it leaks rotating front housing protected by a 2-1/2" o-ring and 1/16" wide. I ordered 1/8" spacers but they were too big and I couldn't secure the front port to the pump body. Some components appear flimsy and crudely made. However, everything fits together well. Very quiet. And adjustable speeds save energy. The controller is quite easy to use. It's been in use for almost a year now and works very well. I'm glad I bought it and it has served me well. There are no leaks at all.
