Great deal on this Diamond Sharpening Disc

I have been collecting and hand sharpening knives for almost 50 years. My old 3 carat stone is showing its age so I decided to give it a try. . From what I've seen so far this is about the same finish as my older, smaller and much more expensive stone. Diamonds are the fastest and best way to sharpen hard materials, especially carbide and tungsten drill bits and the like. So sharpening a blade even from s90v steel is not particularly difficult compared to carbide. As far as I know you won't see

Perfect for what I need right now

I bought several of these in different grits because I have a lot of tools that need to be brought back to life. I laminated them to a sheet of plywood that was one inch thick. (Strong materials with lots of layers!) Here are the results. Again I have to buy a lower grit and create another board because I couldn't make sure the board I was using was really flat. Excellent diamond bur

Excellent diamond bur comparable to any others I have including much more expensive ones. I recommend them for serious sharpening. The coarser grit in the 400-1200 size range is ideal for hunting and our Victorinox universal knives. A finer grit of 1800 to 3000 grit is suitable for sharpening woodworking tools, Sloyd knives, spoon carvings and Kuska chisels. I agree with Mike B. this is great value for money.
