water pump base with driveshaft seal is the part I really need. About $120 for an OEM Quicksilver base if I could find one. I ordered this complete kit and used the base from this kit with OEM impeller and seals, o-rings etc on a 2012 Merc 115hp 4 stroke. So far it has worked very well. Aftermarket Gasket Tip: I always use red Permatex high temp silicone on these water pump housings. Especially if you use a new steel backing plate under the wear plate.

This is meant to be a complete kit but does not include the top case gasket and gasket installation tool. Because of this I was unable to install the bottom unit and had to order and service additional parts. And as if that wasn't enough, check out the photos of the impeller housing.
