As a result of my tests, I determined that these brushes were essentially ineffective at cleaning makeup residue from my other brushes, rendering them useless. You definitely pay for what you get. I bought a brush holder set with activated charcoal sponge cleaning powder and makeup brush case for $11. The brushes go in with relative ease, but you have to remove the round part or it will just slide off. Any pressure you put on one side, you must put on the other side to keep it from falling off. The brush holder is really nice and sturdy, I like it. The brush protection is very good but the small metal brush cleaner is dirty as if it has been used before. If it weren't for that, I would have given this product 5 stars instead of 3.
