I think this is a great product. We have many random knives.

I think this is a great product. We have many random knives that we wanted to provide and are not limited to what would fit in our regular knife block. Not sure what other reviewers are saying about it being unstable and crashing. We have a lot of knives and as long as you pull them up to take them out instead of pulling straight towards you I don't see why anyone would have trouble dropping them.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Knitter

Attractive, intuitive design, well received by guests

Each bag has a separate insert with plastic sticks thinner than angel hair paste. We keep five steak knives or twin knives in the bottom pocket, which doesn't fit snugly so the knife handle goes a bit into the shafts, but that's no big deal. Five large knives in the top pocket fit perfectly. We use it sideways, with the flat side against the backsplash, with no wall cabinet on top. In two months of use, none of the poles have been tipped over or cut off. This will help wiggle the knife in place

Pros
  • a nice touch
Cons
  • reliability

Hiccup at first but quickly fixed. A good product.

The first one came much earlier than expected BUT it broke in half. Contacted the company and they replaced it immediately. Ironically, the replacement appeared when the original was due to appear. First, it can hold a full set of knives, as you can see in the shop for sets that already come with the knife block. We got this because we had different knives like high quality steak knives and a butcher knife but there was nowhere to put them except for a tie. We ended up not using these knives…

  • Feels good

Nice and simple. But be careful (see my post)

The concept is good. This is very handy when using most knives. Some of the longer ones tend to stick out and they get heavy when the block is full. It tends to tip forward, which of course is not without its dangers. I have four knives on top and six steak knives on the bottom. Pen weights vary, but most have a full barrel. I had to do improvised legs in front to not do this again. I'll try to post a photo soon. I really like the product and it works well. In fact, I have two models of knife…

Works more or less as advertised but with limitations

Works as intended but I'm not entirely happy with these points: 1. Doesn't fully accommodate knives from 8 inches and up. About 1/2 inch of the blade is sticking out of the black material. Maybe it was mentioned in the product description before I bought it and I missed it. However, it looks like 8-inch knives will be required. 2. Doesn't work well in a base cabinet situation. All Kapoosh products have a steep angle. A sufficiently experienced and dedicated person can form a support base. This…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Not everything is as good as written

Versatile idea - requires spare blades for maximum durability

I love my knife block. I also have a version from KitchenAid with the same idea. In the KitchenAid version the bars are thicker and in practice this means they are more easily gripped/bent/cut by knives going in and out of the block than in the Kapoosh version. In Kapusha, for some reason I can't figure out, it's easier to deploy the knives vertically and let them slide past the bars, increasing the life of the block. , these knives take up space and get very cramped pretty soon - all of these…

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Spare parts available

Innovative and well done

I first saw it in person at this year's National Restaurant Show. The full range of sizes, shapes and finishes was on display at the stand and was well received by visitors as it was unique and some of the models were sold at the show. Instead of buying one there and lugging it back on the plane, I ordered a pair from Revain while I was there (and it was about the same price as direct). Slotted knife holders are not very hygienic, so you won't see them. in restaurants. They also aren't very…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
