Required for hamster

Required for the hamster cage 🐹. You place in an area that you notice using the bathroom and always in that area. My hamster enjoys using it, it refreshes the cage and since I started using it the cage smell has decreased. Also, you should clean your hamster cage every 7-8 days as urine contains too much ammonia which can harm or kill your small animal. Please take very good care of your hamster by being alert or otherwise enhancing his life by offering fresh vegetables such as favorite…

Complete failure! Best among cats

We bought. We are tired. this is a joke Each of my daughters has a hamster. Two hamsters = two cages and two everything else. We thought it would be interesting to try potty training her furry friends. We looked for ways to do this and even bought small litter boxes. The girls figured out where their hamsters seemed to "go" most, filled their mini-trays with Kaytee Potty Litter and placed them in the designated spot. We watched the hamsters explore their new potty but none of them bothered to…

I BOUGHT 16 OZ because it was better for rats

I bought "KAYTEE POTTY LITTER 16 oz" for my sons, 2 pet rats. I read a few reviews/comments and took some advice: First, THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT TYPES FOR SALE, I BUY A 16 OUN because it was better for rats, and DIFFERENT THAN THE 8 POUND BOX (according to another reviewer). Don't use the grid that came with the kitty litter (the grids are not designed for rats, bad for their little paws). 3. I put some of her droppings in the litter. use her tray! At first they went in, sniffed, chewed and…

The hamster actually uses it. Amazing :D

I bought this because the sample bag was only $1.99 and I thought I might lose, so worth a try. I had hamsters at different times, and then there was no such concept. Anyway, potty training for us went like this: - His first reaction was to bite the litter as he wasn't sure what it was. - On the first and second day the hamster rode in it like in a sand bath. - Day 3 he started peeing on the potty - Day 4 and beyond: He continued to urinate only in the potty and poops on everyone else in the…

I was so skeptical at first!

Okay, okay. I was amazed when I saw on YouTube that a hamster can be potty trained. I've always seen little boxes/spoons in stores and on the internet, but I never thought they really worked. I bought it from Revain because it's a lot cheaper than PetSmart. I filled a small bowl/container with a few spoonfuls of sand from the sandbox (it's perfectly safe, check online if you're unsure) and about two or three tablespoons of these beads on top to pull them into place . To start, I added already…

Great litter with problem solved

I have been using Kaytee potty litter for my two female rats for about 5 months now. it works *I know this is the second time I'm listing this, but it really keeps the smell to a minimum. read more) Yes, as other reviewers have written, if heavily contaminated, the granules will eventually turn into a pasty substance. If your pet only uses one spot in the litter box, the pellets will "melt" at that spot and become a paste. I have found that mixing the pellets (by simply shaking the bowl) so…
