Type of review

These shoes seem good so far, but there are a few downsides. They're a bit stiff despite having been worn a few times (especially the velcro upper which makes them an average top in my opinion). Didn't "jump in any puddles" like the kid reviews (I'm an adult with small feet) but they seem waterproof enough for rain. Their main downside, however, is that they don't seem to be as breathable as I wanted (although they are more breathable than wellies) - so my feet often feel a little damp - and I…

Pros
  • If you want to prevent your children's feet from getting crooked and crooked, buy them a pair of sturdy shoes like these.
Cons
  • For parents looking for an affordable hiking shoe option for their child, the price may be prohibitive.

I wish they were more durable for the dollar

My son liked them and said they were comfortable. However, I was hoping that the slightly higher price and brand would offer more durability, but that didn't happen. The velcro came undone and the sole started to fall off after only a few months of wear.

Pros
  • Super comfortable and I can walk on any surface with no problem.
Cons
  • The lack of additional features such as arch support or a removable insole may not be suitable for children with special foot problems.

Poor quality of the upper outside around the hole

My child is gentle with their shoes. Most of them look freaking pristine because we (Alaska) wear boots 5 months out of the year so these are indoor school shoes. The fabric around the upper falls apart with little use. Need a thicker/higher cave. Shabby. Doesn't match the price of the shoes.

Pros
  • My son likes them very much
Cons
  • Small size ranges may not accommodate growing children for multiple hiking seasons.

Too hard for my 3 year old.

They look cute and durable but are too hard for my 3 year old's feet. He's used to sharp sandals. They are also very difficult to put on and I didn't even tighten them because they felt so tight. I think I should have tried running shoes instead. I chose them because they protect his feet from bark and he likes to hike.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

daughter loves her!

My daughter loves these for our hikes in the Appalachian Mountains in NC/GA/TN. They are comfortable for her when she needs extra toe room unlike some of the new Keens which feel narrow. Proven waterproof, they'll keep your feet dry as you traverse mud, puddles and streams on the trail. They are easy to put on and take off which is a huge bonus! Definitely recommend!

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Expensive

Waterproof? The feet often feel slightly damp (poorly breathable).

These shoes seem good so far, but there are a few downsides. They're a bit stiff despite having been worn a few times (particularly the velcro upper which makes them an average top in my opinion). Didn't "jump in any puddles" like the kid reviews (I'm an adult with small feet) but they seem waterproof enough for rain. However, their main downside is that they don't seem to be as breathable as I wanted (although they are more breathable than wellies) - hence my feet often feel a little damp…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model
