This is a great tool. You just have to choose the right medium!

Ideal for fine lines. If it doesn't come out, your medium isn't runny enough or you need to remove air bubbles. This is an essential tool in my paint shop!

Pros
  • The 0.26mm tip is ideal for thinned automotive paint for car detailing and stone chip repair.
Cons
  • Out of fashion

It's very annoying when I have to patch a lot of holes.

I patched a car with this to fill in splinters but this pin gets stuck every 10 minutes and takes at least 15 minutes to fully clean it. It's really annoying when I have to fill a lot of holes, but I don't think we can do better for something that thin.

Pros
  • Blueprint
Cons
  • Something else

Don't waste $50 on this competitor's item. This is a $10 all day tool. The fine pin is clogged and in the paint chipping correction there is some thinner on the hood ready to make it work. However, toward the end of my experience, I simply dipped the end in the paint and used it like a pen after the paint reservoir became clogged. It worked and it was cheaper than the "hyped" version. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't get a fine. Good luck with your decision.

Didn't work with any tool I tried.

The best I can get from this is 3 letters, probably the size of a typical signature, and it's only happened once. I tried different options and none of them gave more than a few millimeters of color. The needle that came with it broke after 10 minutes of use. I was able to consistently clean it with soap and water as I tried different colors. No matter how thick or thin or what type of medium I used, I've had no luck. I even tried mixing powdered dye with oil instead of water. Great idea but…

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Discontinued model
