I am very happy with how easy it was to hang (I hung it myself although my husband drilled holes in the wall for me). We chose to just leave the cable hanging off the wall rather than fix it. It looks great on the wall and I like the reach of the swing arm. I hung it over my head so I could leave it in the room fully undressed. Beautiful lamp with a very nice finish and an elegant shade. This would be five stars except that the 3 position lamp socket does not include a low setting (poor manufacturer quality control). I need to replace the lamp socket to go low and high. With the third click I had the maximum lamp power. The bulb burned out (burned out) in less than 5 minutes. This is a cute little lamp that does exactly what I wanted, especially for the price. The assembled lamp looks exactly like the picture. Solid dark metal base with bronze highlights. Some people complain about the shade's "cheap look", but I think it looks good. We bought two of these bronze lamps to use as reading lamps above or next to the bed. They were well packaged and everything arrived intact. Installation is a little fiddly, but not too bad, although I highly recommend ditching the wall anchors that came with the unit and getting better ones.
