Works well with interior

Took it to a local locksmith and he programmed it into my 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 for $50. Much cheaper than what the seller wanted. Seems to be working fine. That's about half the weight of the original key fob, so cheaper and lighter materials are likely used in its manufacture. We'll see how long that lasts. So far satisfied for the price.

Car built after 2014 Dealer or locksmith

My 2014 Silerado key fob is worn out. I knew I would have to go to the dealership based on the year of my truck and pay $100 for the program, but instead I swapped out the internals and everything works like clockwork. Just type the phrase "change inside the key fob" and any other car on YouTube and there's a video there to show you how to do it. 5-10 minutes ready. Very easy.

ONLY professional programming. The instructions are irrelevant!

The characters on the keys are deleted immediately. The remote start button is firm, with little feedback compared to the factory button. The distance is about half of the factory remote control. It is only programmed with the help of special software. Add $59 for dealer programming at Chevy. Don't pay more! I don't want to sound like an idiot, but I used to work as a tech at a local dealership, and saying $100 or $150 is almost insulting.

I only had covers, nothing inside!

The keys I received were just cases, nothing inside. I went to a locksmith and they tried to program it but we couldn't. They said it didn't have a motherboard/chip. They still charged me for programming as it was a problem with my key fob. I read the description and nowhere does it say that this is just a case. 1 hour later at the locksmith with 3 restless children and a bill for a shipment that never happened, yes you could say I am very upset and if I could give less than 1 star I would.

Available OEM option for Chevy Tahoe.

Much cheaper than buying from dealer as expected. The chrome parts are plastic, which is no surprise considering the price. The locksmith was able to program the remote for my 2017 Tahoe in just a few minutes and all the buttons work exactly like the OEM. Both remotes came with a battery and circuit board. Update 11/27/2019: The silver coating around the remote body is peeling off. I wanted it to be metal. I decided to buy a rubber cover instead of changing the whole body again - I should have…

Shorter range than OEM factory key fobs.

Works great after dealer programming. (You MUST have the dealer program them, ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE!) Also, the range isn't as good as OEM factory fobs, I'd say it's just over half or 3/4 the range than factory . this. With factory key fobs, I can conveniently control all functions from anywhere in the house. I have to stand with them and aim at the truck, often I have to get close to the windshield. The buttons are very responsive and feel good (better than factory), taking 1 star for the…
