Very tight around the fingers

The problem is that the two middle fingers are very tight. I can barely put on gloves and don't have big (small) hands. I don't know if this is an isolated case. It is difficult to make a fist or grip with your hands due to the narrow finger holes. It's narrowest where the palm meets the fingers. Looks like a decent material and holds hot billets well.

Pros
  • Personal protective equipment
Cons
  • Everything OK

Suitable for wood stoves

They can reach the fire and move objects; don't spend all day there. You will feel the heat coming. However, there is a downside; these gloves are NOT 15" long as listed; instead they are 12" long from the fingertip to the bottom of the cuff; that's a key difference. If that works for you then these are good gloves that take a direct hit in the withstand heat well.

Pros
  • Arm and hand protection
Cons
  • Some insects

The best gloves!

This is an amazing product. I work in the temperature range of 500-700 degrees. When I put these gloves on, I don't get warm at all. Even if you keep yourself a little warm, let's say the hot part, the gloves don't get hot enough to burn your hands. It's very durable and I would definitely recommend it if you work with your hands and touch very hot objects. They're also very comfortable, they don't ride up where it's difficult to hold things. They're not heavy, they're very light so you don't…

  • Great design

Not the best option for grilling

First the cooking grates were pulled out to reload the basket. Felt intense heat in about 6-8 seconds. A photo is included showing where the rust has burned the glove. I would have kicked it out after 10 seconds. So if you plan to use them for grilling, expect to use them for very short snacks. Plan ahead before you reach for hot metal. They don't smell like leather, but they do smell rancid. Update 4/14/20: I haven't used them to grab a cooking grate but to rearrange hot coals and they did a…

Great for battling your Doug

So I don't weld. I have fatal contractions between my right hand and the dog. The dog always wins. Since I prefer not to touch my fingers and the dog has grown, I now use these welding gloves to protect my dog killer from skin or cartilage damage during a duel. These gloves are affectionately known as the gloves of death because when I do this bulldog/staff mix the bad guys turn into an angry devil and start killing right away. But because of the tough, natural cowhide leather (and the fact…
