Not a chef knife, keep it at home

Bought this knife for my chef husband. Very bad idea 😅 this is a great piece to have at home and definitely spicy but for an advanced cook it has already chipped the tip and the weight is gone. Personally, I love him for being at home, but he doesn't keep up with the demands of his job. He could also have gotten a much better knife for the amount I spent on this one that would hold up better.

Amazing and very sharp.

This knife is amazing and very sharp. If that tells you anything, he managed to cut off a piece of plastic that people tape to the tips of their blades to prevent lacerations. Although it's not blue as shown in the main image, the hues really make it look regal. Mine even came with a case. And as someone said, before I even got the knife, someone from Kuma contacted me and gave me a free download of 12 recipes. The only company I've ordered a chef's knife from does that.

I love it! - Chef's knife

I am an impulsive buyer. I bought things and then forgot or kept them somewhere. My dad and I were in the kitchen and found that my twin JA Henckels knife needed sharpening. Instead, however, I decided to open up a new Kuma knife that I recently bought. This Kuma knife really blew our minds! Looks very elegant due to the processing. Works better than we ever dreamed of

I got this knife at a promotional price and my husband was skeptical. It's now one of his favorite pieces in our kitchen. We had decent mill knives, which he never complained about and always sharpened, and this knife blows them out of the water. He cuts raw potatoes like baked ones. He sliced the chicken with just the knife pull - no sawing or pressure required. KUMA Chef's Knife 8 " - Kitchen & Dining

This is a very nice knife but I don't think it's Damascus like you'd be led to believe. Sharp edge but won't hold an edge as good quality steel should.It requires a full sharpening every few uses when all it takes is a few quick passes over the bar (or stick) every other time or so.After using it a few months I found slag on the blade plaque along the edge. I had to sharpen the blade at least 1/32" to get past it and then re-sharpen the blade. It's fine now, but a lot of unnecessary work. All…

Blade dented after 4 uses - Damascus steel knife

I never wash my knife in the dishwasher. I've used the knife about 3 or 4 times and it's already serrated. A small minus, but pretty damn disappointing for a $100 knife, having only used it for veggies and steak. My favorite knives are my Henkels (international version, German steel assembled in Spain).
