I recommend staying by the tree.

(And what the heck is "transparency"?) It's aggressive as advertised and I found it worked well with wood. As someone else pointed out, let the tool do its job and don't press too hard. I had to strip 2 inches of insulation from a 12 gauge buried electric fence wire, and I tried to strip all the way to the wire (about 1/16 inch of material). It worked well but ruined the side of the cutter, stripped the teeth and left a curved surface instead of a flat one. I can still use it but my teeth seem…

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • A bit torn

As another reviewer said, these are not exact measurements - account for the extra space. At the very bottom of the seller's item description (which I haven't read and which is on me) it says the material is extra added. However the product is like built a stone removes wood like no other and removes skin just as quickly, so use extra…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Works on the toughest woods

This thing is a monster. I was looking for a burr that could remove ipe (pronounced "ee-pai"), a very, very dense wood, so dense that it doesn't float in water. It is a stunningly beautiful wood when carefully sanded and finished, but it resists carving and finishing. I finally found a solution. The thousands of tiny tungsten teeth on this 1/4" arbor cutter get the job done quickly, even with Ipe. I was able to instantly do in minutes what would have taken me hours with a carbide bur. A product

  • The best
